    @dickcheney6 It’s a deadman’s switch – that’s why.

  4. dickcheney6 says:

Wow, you have to hold the button down? that’s pathetic, they should at least upgrade the control panel so that the controller has at least 3K of memory. jeez.

  5. elevatorfreak112 says:

@TheZekethunder nobody likes automatic doors they are boring

  6. an65001 says:

Dead man’s controls on a hydro. Go figure.

  7. TheZekethunder says:

I am not a big fan of that this isn’t a modern elevator. It should be one with automatic doors and a nicer style.

  8. KyFriedPlatypus says:

Wow, the design/set-up of the hotel is pretty flawed. They need to call in KONE, and install a REAL elevator that serves ALL 3 floors!

  9. musicfreakcc says:

@KyFriedPlatypus The worst part of all is that there’s a 3rd floor which has no elevator access! In fact, that’s the very reason I kept hitting the button for the 2nd floor at the beginning, since I didn’t even know there was a basement.

  10. KyFriedPlatypus says:

This elevator is pathetic. They should only install an elevator like this if it serves half a floor, rather than 2 whole floors! If it were a typical hydraulic elevator, It would probably be upstairs/ downstairs in about 5 seconds!

  11. jdgator95 says:

Could someone open the door when the elevator (if it can be called that :P ) isn’t at that floor?

  12. lamboboy732 says:

I would stop it half way and leave it with the emergency alarm on. Probably dosent have an external override it is so old.

  13. Baytrail says:

    Ridiculous.

That thing is a rocket! How badly did your ears pop?

  15. wildwhitedaisies says:

Lifts are only allowed to run at a max of 50 ft a minute. They are only meant for the physically disabled and requires a trained operator to move them. Its not the elevators fault its just playing by the rules. Take the stairs

  16. elevatorman247 says:

The capacity is only 1000 lbs.

  17. elevatorman247 says:

No. It’s a wheelchair lift. It’s stupid to have a wheelchair lift in a hotel.

  18. JonElevator says:

The elevators in sears tower & empire state building almost can get to floor 103 and 86 before this gets to one. They call themselves quality inn-get a QUALITY elevator.

  19. Quentinmovie says:

Is that the only Elevator in the hotel?. If this was the UK, that would be described as a “Wheelchair Lift”, one provided for the disabled and elderly who cannot cilmb stairs.

  20. otis401shan says:

There are some Concord elevator installed in Hong Kong, but only people with wheelchairs can use it.

  21. mattanddaxter says:

    Elevator vidoes? I never knew.

  22. elev8m8 says:

man, oh man that is so slow, i wouldnt even trust riding it.

  23. harrihealey02 says:

wow, That was slow. I think they should replace it with a kone maxispace and you could go 20 floors before that reaches 1

  24. starbucks95905rants says:

    Wow, that is so cheap.

  25. tennisfreak2495 says:

    Painfully slow.
